Using Alternative Dispute Resolution processes such as mediation, conciliation, and arbitration, the Dispute Resolution Center of Herkimer County can help you resolve almost any dispute.
All of our employees and volunteers undergo many hours of specialized training, so that we can provide the best people for the job.
What We Do
The Dispute Resolution Center of Herkimer County is a community based non-profit agency, serving Herkimer County and surrounding area residents with their conflict resolution needs. We offer many services including:
- Information and referral
- Collaborative problem solving
- Confidential mediation services with third-party neutrals for disputes with family, consumer/merchant, landlord/tenant, co-workers, and neighbors.
- Confidential multi-party mediation services for agencies, organizations, housing units, extended families, workplace, etc.
- Large and small group facilitation
- School peer mediating programing
- Continuing education practicum for being a certified mediator
- Training opportunities
The Dispute Resolution Center of Herkimer County is a program of Catholic Charities and is funded in part by the NYS Unified Court System.
